Algarve triathletes qualify for Ironman World Championship70.3

Carlos Cabrita won his age-group and won the 70.3 world championship slot in Nice

The Algarve triathletes Carlos Cabrita and Nuno Neves qualified this Saturday, the 27th, in Marbella (Spain) for the Ironman70.3 World Championship, which will take place in the French city of Nice, in September.

Carlos Cabrita won his step (age group over 65), while Nuno Neves finished in 4th place, 20 seconds from the podium.

Both are already qualified for the World Cup, among other Portuguese who will try their luck.

In this “Ironman 70.3” in Marbella, the Algarvians competed among more than 3000 triathletes who swam 1,9 kilometers, ran 21 kilometers and pedaled 90 kilometers.
