Beach in Quarteira cleaned by high school students Laura Ayres

Initiative took place in the scope of the disciplines of Biology and Geology

The classes of the 10th year Science and Technology course at the Laura Ayres Secondary School (ESLA), in Quarteira, did a beach cleaning on the 28th of March in the scope of the Biology and Geology disciplines.

The action lasted 1 hour, had the support of the Parish Council of Quarteira and Algar, and its main objective was to raise awareness of the need for protection and cleaning of coastal ecosystems.

Most of the waste, collected by around 40 students, was on display as part of the activities of 'Peeking at School', last Thursday, April 4th, at ESLA.

In this exhibition, visitors were able to come into contact with various marine beings and even see the sands of beaches from all over the world.
