A Public Hearing on the Full Count of Teachers' Service Time, with the participation of Paulo Sá, PCP deputy in the Assembly of the Republic, elected by the Algarve, is scheduled for the next 15th of April, at 10:30 am, in the meeting room of the headquarters building of the Union of Parishes of Faro (Sé/Saint Peter).
As is public knowledge, the PCP presented, on March 22nd, a request for Parliamentary Appraisal to Decree-Law No. 36/2019, of March 15th, which "mitigates the effects of the freeze that occurred between 2011 and 2017 in the teaching career”, considering that “time of service is time worked that has to be relevant for career progression”.
"This is what is established in the State Budget Laws for 2018 and 2019. Therefore, the PCP proposes the full accounting of the length of service: 9 years, 4 months and 2 days", added the communists in their request of Parliamentary Appreciation.
The audition that will take place in Faro, on the eve of the vote in Parliament on the initiative that the PCP took, aims to deepen, with teachers and their union organizations, the discussion on this important struggle that has also been waged in the Algarve.
