The Sociedade Recreativa Artística Farense (SRAF) “Os Artistas” will take the band “Trycicles” to the Associação de Músicos, at Fábrica da Cerveja, for another outdoor concert next Tuesday, April 30, from 22:30 , in Faro.
The “Trycicles” are a band formed by João Taborda (António Olaio & João Taborda), Afonso Almeida (Cosmic City Blues, Sequoia), Edgar Gomes (Terb) and Sérgio Dias. The debut album, which came out by Lux Records, was recorded and produced by Nelson Carvalho and the band itself.
According to them, the Trycicles are «a vaguely improbable thing, a group of kidadults of doubtful course but with stories to tell, full of people who could exist (…) and in fact do exist, in calm songs ready to slowly explode the a thousand an hour, with gentleness, or in roars of angry guitars and falsely polite pianos, of rough basses talking to polite drums».
After the concert, the resident DJ and old acquaintance of the bar d'”Os Artistas” Renato AKA Renato extends the party at the controls of vinyl plates.
This event is part of a cycle of activities that the SRAF intends to continue over the next few months, in various areas of the city, even without a temporary space until the completion of works on the emblematic building where its headquarters were located, on Montepio street (expected duration of two years).
To carry out this program, it has the support of the City Council of Faro and partner associations, namely the Associação Recreativa e Cultural de Músicos and ARCM Bar.
