From the 22nd of April to the 9th of May, the municipal company Ambiolhão promotes a general disinfestation campaign against rats and cockroaches throughout the county.
Ratization and disposal actions will focus mainly on the network of public collectors and urban waste disposal sites. Disinfestation by Ambiolhão only covers public areas and cannot intervene in areas of private domain, such as lots under construction, vacant houses, or private land.
In the case of disinfestation against rats, and given the toxicity of the baits, they will only be applied inside the sewage networks, to avoid accidents with children or pets.
Deratization and slashing will be carried out by zones in the city of Olhão, according to the following schedule: Zone A - 22 and 23 April, Zone B - 24 April, Zone C - 26 April, Zone D - 29 April, Zone E – April 30th and May 2nd and Zone F – May 3rd.
In the parishes, the works will take place in Fuseta on the 6th and 7th of May, in Moncarapacho and in Quelfes on the 8th of May and in Pechão on the 9th of May.
