Farense loses to Benfica B in Seixal

The Algarvians soon found themselves losing, they still tied, but ended up giving way to defeat in the second half

Farense lost 3-1 to Benfica B in a match counting for the II Liga, played this Friday, at Caixa Futebol Campus, in Seixal.

Benfica B was the first team to score, at 18 minutes, through João Filipe, better known as Jota, one of the great promises of the Benfica academy and who has been called to team A.

Even before the break, Farense balanced the result. In the 37th minute, Alvarinho made the best follow-up to a pass by Fabrício and made it 1-1.

After the return of the changing rooms, for the second half of the match, Benfica B did not take long to score and return to being ahead of the game. Nuno Santos tasted on foot, when the chronometer marked 50 minutes.

Jota would do it again havoc, by winning a penalty that he converted into a goal, in the 73rd minute.

With this result, Farense remains, to the condition, in 12th position, with 32 points, not much more than the last classified, Vitória de Guimarães B, which has 27 points and one game less - as well as the rest of the afflicted of this edition of the II League.
