Portimão Municipal Assembly holds an extraordinary session to debate transport, works and parking

Municipal deputies will debate three deliberations of the executive of the Chamber

The Municipal Assembly of Portimão will meet in extraordinary session on the 6th of May, Monday, at 21 pm, in the main hall of Paços do Concelho, with an agenda consisting of three important points.

Thus, after the period reserved for citizen intervention, the agenda will be opened for discussion and voting on the draft of the inter-administrative contract of delegations of powers within the scope of the public passenger transport service, to be signed between the Municipality of Portimão and the Community Intermunicipal of the Algarve (AMAL).

This point, which will debate a decision already taken by the City Council, has to do with the decision, taken unanimously by AMAL, on the 18th of April, of lower the price of transport passes in the Algarve to a maximum ceiling of 40 euros. For this to happen in Portimão, AM must approve the contract.

Afterwards, there will be discussion and voting on the authorization of the multiannual expenditure of the procedure by public tender for the execution of the contract for the requalification of Avenida Afonso Henriques, located next to the riverside area of the city, in a joint work with EMARP.

Closing the work of its 5th extraordinary session, AM Portimonense will also discuss and vote on the proposal to redeem the right to explore Empark SA of surface parking meters, in a total of 400 places.
