The Algarve Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR Algarve) concluded this week the process of regularizing the
employment relationship of the 15 workers assigned to the Management Authority of the Regional Operational Program CRESC Algarve 2020, within the scope
of the Program for the Extraordinary Regularization of Precarious Links in Public Administration (PREVPAP).
As explained by the CCDR, the Government program “provides for limiting the use of precarious work by the State, establishing a clear policy of phasing out the use of precarious work and occupational type programs in the public sector as a way to meet long-term needs for the functioning of the different public services'.
The signing of employment contracts in public functions for an indefinite period took place in the presence of Francisco Serra, president of CCDR Algarve and the Board of Directors of CRESC Algarve2020 and put an end to "the process initiated with the publication of Decree-Law No. 34/2018 of 15 May, which established the specific terms for the integration of Public Administration workers who provide services in operational programmes, in intermediate bodies and in the coordinating body of European funds», adds CCDR Algarve.
According to the defined rules, workers linked to the management of European funds are included in the personnel map of the Agency for Development and Cohesion (AD&C), an entity that, at national level, manages all personnel involved in the operationalization of the Portugal 2020 Partnership Agreement, as of this date.
In accordance with the applicable legislation, the workers were automatically assigned to the Regional Operational Program CRESC Algarve 2020, continuing to exercise their professional functions in Faro, as guaranteed, in January of last year, Pedro Marques, then Minister of Planning and Infrastructure.
