Aljezur shipyard workers notified to leave the country

SEF also inspected motorhome drivers in Ferragudo

Two foreigners in an illegal situation, who worked at a construction site in Aljezur, were notified to leave the country, this Wednesday, March 20, by the Foreigners and Borders Service (SEF).

The two workers were detected as part of an inspection carried out by the SEF, in collaboration with the Authority for Working Conditions (ACT), which identified 37 workers, two of whom were foreigners in an irregular situation.

In the same operation, three administrative offenses were also filed against two companies “for using the activity of a foreign citizen in an illegal situation and one independent foreign worker for engaging in unauthorized professional activity”, the SEF said.

The organization also identified, together with the Maritime Police, 23 motorhome drivers in the Ferragudo area, all of them from member countries of the European Union, but did not detect any irregular situation regarding their stay in Portugal.
