The Cataplay show will be in Olhão for the first time on Saturday, the 23rd, at 19 pm, to spread the aroma of the cataplana and an entire imagination around this typical Algarve kitchen utensil at the José Mariano Gago Municipal Library.

Once again, the cataplana sets the tone for a theater, music, dance and gastronomy show, where themes such as human relationships or love are also discussed. At the end, a cataplana recipe is served to the public, made by the Tertúlia Algarvia team, an entity that promotes the initiative with the support of “365Algarve”, accompanied by wines produced in the region.

«On stage are the actors Mário Spencer and Tânia Silva, who play two characters in conflict – the famous Al-Chef and the Cook Marafada – who discuss among themselves the recipes of life, society, passion or love, at the same time that reflect on the origins of the cataplana, this mysterious and unique tool in the world», according to Tertúlia Algarvia.

Tickets cost 10 euros for the general public and 8,5 euros for children under 30 and over 65. There are also family tickets, at 25 euros, which guarantee entry for two adults and a child from six years of age. The tickets can be purchased online or at the José Mariano Gago Library, on the day of the show, from 17:30 pm.
