Rinaldo Nocentini (Sporting/Tavira) took 7th place in the 3rd stage of the Volta ao Alentejo on bicycle, held this Friday, March 22, and was the best cyclist of the day in terms of the Algarve teams.

The tirade was won by the British Gabriel Cullaigh (Team Wiggins LeCol) in another arrival at the sprint. The cyclist completed the 176,5 kilometers in 4 hours, 21 minutes and 11 seconds.

Nocentini did the same time, as did Vicente de Mateos, from Louletano/Aviludo, who came in 10th place.

Regarding the individual overall, Gabriel Cullaigh is the new yellow jersey, dethroning, from his place, Enrique Sainz, the Spaniard who won the first two stages of the Alentejo.

De Mateos is in 3rd, at the same time as Cullaigh, and Nocentini is the best placed in Sporting/Tavira (11th place, also at the same time).

This Saturday is a special day for Volta ao Alentejo, with a double journey.

The first sector of the fourth stage runs between Ponte de Sôr and Portalegre, on a journey of 74,3 kilometers, whose neuralgic point will be the ascent of Cabeço de Mouro.

In the afternoon, the second sector takes place, an individual time trial of 8,4 kilometers, in Castelo de Vide, which includes a climb to Senhora da Penha.
