Despite all the attempts, it was not possible to save Fábio Mendes, 28, who, this Saturday, he fell inanimate and died after suffering a cardiorespiratory arrest, during the futsal game between Portimonense and Centro Social São João, counting for the National Championship of the II Futsal Division.
The meeting was interrupted so that resuscitation maneuvers could be performed. With the INEM in the pavilion, resuscitation maneuvers continued to be performed, even using a defibrillator. Fábio Mendes was also transported to the Hospital de Portimão, where he arrived lifeless.
