Children of Portimão challenged to spend “A Night at the Library”

Portimão Library promotes night of tales and stories to celebrate the International Children's Book Day

The children of Portimão and their parents are invited to spend “A Night at the Library” on the 6th of April. The Manuel Teixeira Gomes Municipal Library will celebrate the International Children's Book Day with a different night, designed for children from 4 to 12 years old.

Between 21:00 pm and 22:30 pm on April 6, a Saturday, stories will be told by techniques from the reading promotion service, "drawing attention to the importance of reading and the fundamental role of books for children", according to the Chamber of Portimão.

«Because the stories are ageless, this will be a night in a space of leisure and not just of study. Demystify books and reading and show the real pleasure of living among fantastic stories combined with good mood, joy and imagination in a family environment with children, grandchildren, cousins, godchildren and friends», added the municipality.
