This film cycle is organized by the movie theater project of the Manuel Teixeira Gomes Schools Group

The director António-Pedro Vasconcelos will be on the 20th of March at Algarcine Cinemas in Portimão, to comment with students from the Manuel Teixeira Gomes School Group on his latest film, “Parque Mayer”.

The debate session will take place throughout the morning at Algarcine Cinemas in Portimão and is part of a film cycle entitled “Citizenship and Freedom in the work of AP de Vasconcelos”, which also includes the screening of the films “A Bela eo Paparazzo ” and “Os Gatos Não Tem Vertigens”, in the auditorium of the Manuel Teixeira Gomes Secondary School.

»The initiative follows a strategy that aims to use cinema as a didactic resource capable of leading young people to put themselves in the "skin" of the characters and reflect on various current themes and problems, including the value of freedom, the fight against stereotypes and prejudices of society or the fine line between what is public and what is private in the lives of all of us», explains Carlos Café, professor responsible for the initiative.

This film cycle is organized by the movie theater project of the Manuel Teixeira Gomes School Group and is sponsored by the Jupiter Algarve Hotel, in Praia da Rocha, Portimão.
