The madness of the markets of lifestyle heads south and debuts in Faro on May 4th with MAD Popup Market, an event of fashion, crafts and design, which will privilege 100% creators and brands made in Portugal.
The market location has not yet been announced by the organizers, but the event has the support of the City Council of Faro and promises to take place in an “emblematic place of the city”.
The idea came from two friends, Isadora Justo and Maria José, who usually frequent the markets of lifestyle from Lisbon and Porto and who decided to bring the concept to the Algarve, because they believe there is a market for this type of event and for the brands and creatives they promote.
On the other hand, organizers are followers and consumers of brands that sell exclusively online and essentially promote their products on Instagram and saw the organization of MAD Popup Market as a way to present new markets, consumers and sales platforms for these products.
«The challenge we set ourselves is to organize a pioneering event in the Algarve and in Faro, which attracts selected national brands and products, which sell mostly online and consequently put the city on the national map of Fashion, Crafts and Design events», say the organizers.
Taking into account that many of the invited exhibitors are not from the Algarve, MAD Popup Market also assumes the mission of promoting the city of Faro and the region next to them, both in touristic and commercial terms.
Thus, partnerships were developed with catering and accommodation establishments in the city, with the aim of inviting exhibitors to stay during the weekend in which the event takes place. Contacts are being developed with commercial entrepreneurs, promoting future partnerships with exhibitors.
MAD Popup Market is already being promoted on social media Facebook e Instagram and continues with open registration for participants.
