Albufeira will invest 250 euros in the 2020 Participatory Budget

Participatory Budget Council Meeting

The 16 most voted proposals in the public sessions of participation of the Participative Budget of Albufeira, for the year 2020, have already been selected and passed to the technical analysis phase, which is going on until the 17th of May.

Of the 44 proposals presented during the 4 sessions, which took place in all the parishes of the county, between the 12th and 20th of March, 16 were selected – the most voted – which are now going to the technical analysis of the services.

On March 25, the Participatory Budget Council, led by Ana Pífaro, the councilor responsible for the aforementioned department, held a meeting with the work team assigned to the OP with the aim of taking stock of previous editions and speeding up the distribution of proposals by the services.

The proposals that meet the eligibility conditions, namely those of a legal, financial and feasibility nature, will be transformed into projects, which will be put to vote in the month of June.

The technical analysis will assess the eligibility of the proposals, the budgeting of the eligible proposals, will coordinate with the proposers (when applicable) and, at the end, on May 17th, the list of selected projects and excluded proposals will be published. The deadline for appeal is between 20 and 24 May.

Between the 27th and 31st of May, the materials associated with the voting will be prepared, and, by the end of that month, the final list of projects to be voted will be publicized.

The Enhancement of Public Space was the theme selected for the 6th edition of the Albufeira Participatory Budget, for which the Chamber will allocate an amount of 250 thousand euros. The amount will be distributed equally among the four parishes of the county.
