The City Council of Olhão purchased new leisure equipment and replaced the pavements of the playgrounds in the kindergartens at schools EB1/JI Nº1 in Olhão (Largo da Feira), EB1/JI da Cavalinha and EB1/JI Nº4-
The investment was "greater than 60 thousand euros", says the municipality.
«The acquisition of the various equipment took into account the area of their implementation, having been carried out a planning of their distribution in the various spaces, in order to ensure the enhancement of the area available for play and leisure, but also for the acquisition of physical, mental and social capacities”, he adds.
Landscaping criteria were also considered, in order to guarantee the harmonization of these outdoor spaces.
«Thus, in the context of the classic games, slides were acquired, to train spatial perception and promote the understanding of height and gravity, providing children with a positive sense of risk, playful houses and panels, which provide the realization of interactions and social skills and climbing games, which develop motor coordination and spatial visualization”, according to the municipality.
All equipment is duly certified by the competent authorities, in order to ensure maximum safety during games.
