Castro Marim's cycle of balls and accordion evenings “Baila Coração ao Som do Accordeão” will start on Saturday, February 9th, at 21 pm, in Corte Gago.

This initiative has as its main objective "breaking the isolation of the populations of the interior of Castro Marim and contributing to their quality of life, providing entertainment and providing an excellent pretext for socializing and physical exercise" and is part of the cultural and social policy of Castro-Marinean Chamber, which promotes the program in partnership with the local population.

"It's a joyful way to exercise and one of the best antidepressants I know, especially for an elderly population that suffers from some isolation", says the mayor of Castro marim Francisco Amaral.

In February, in addition to Corte Gago, the Corte Pequena (16th) and Alta Mora (23rd) will host ball and accordion evenings. In March, the “Baila Coração ao Som do Accordeão” will be held at Furnazinhas (9th), Odeleite (16th) and Funchosa (23rd), while in April it goes to Azinhal (6th), Junqueira (13th), Quebradas ( on the 20th and Altura (on the 27th) The cycle ends in May with dances at Barrocal (on the 49th and in São Bartolomeu on the 11th).
