A hot air balloon, with static flights, and the exhibition “The Castle of Silves, Memories in Shades of Grey” will also animate the III Mostra Silves of the Orange Capital, which starts this Friday, 15th of February.
This exhibition will reveal “several different aspects of the most recent life of this monument, namely before the restoration works, during the works and others taken later, in a total of almost three dozen photographs”, explains the municipality of Silvense.
The exhibition also reveals the work developed by the Historical-Archaeological Heritage and Museums Sector.
The hot air balloon Silves Capital da Laranja has static flights scheduled for this Friday, starting at 10:00 am, and for Saturday, February 16, starting at 15:00 pm.
The flights are limited to approximately 100 participants per day and are subject to the weather conditions that are felt, in order to guarantee the safety of the participants. The activity is free.
Those interested in participating in these static flights must register in advance, on the same day, at the Mostra secretariat.
This event runs until Sunday, February 17, and will feature several dozen exhibitors linked to citrus, wine, agriculture, regional products, sweets, crafts and gastronomy, as well as some associations and local and regional entities.
There will also be musical shows and street entertainment.
The event has a partnership with the Algarve Regional Directorate of Agriculture and Fisheries, University of Algarve, Algarve Tourism Region, Silves School Group and Silves-South School Group.
