Castro Marim City Council officials have new uniforms

Municipality invested 35 thousand euros in new uniforms

This Friday, February 8th, the Castro Marim City Council delivered the first uniform to 72 employees, drivers and employees of the Municipality's external services.

Before, the uniforms had already been delivered to the employees of the Municipal Swimming Pool, Municipal Pavilion, assistants of the 1st cycle and collaborators in the area of sports.

According to the Chamber of Castro Marim, «the main objective of this measure is to associate the institutional image of the Municipality with the services provided, in an appreciation of the activities and responsibilities carried out by these officials».

On the other hand, emphasizes the municipality, «uniforms are essential for the individual protection of employees, who, depending on their functions, are often in risky situations, such as exposure to noise, dust, radiation, contact with hazardous substances or exposure to atmospheres with rarefied oxygen'.

According to the Castro Marim City Council, «the clothing delivered meets the most frequent needs, namely clothing that makes it easier for the worker to see day and night, with fluorescent and/or reflective fabrics, clothing for thermal protection (polars, jackets) and waterproof suits) and anti-static and fireproof clothing. Each worker is also responsible for filling out a risk sheet and the conditions of their equipment».

This initiative represents an investment of around 35 thousand euros for the municipality of Castro Marim, «an average of 500 euros per worker, and is part of a set of other measures that are being promoted, such as the improvement and enhancement of the work, with the objective of providing greater individual well-being and optimizing the levels of motivation, involvement and commitment of the teams», concludes the municipality.
