This Saturday, 16 February, FC Ferreiras won the II Aquathlo de São Brás, which marked the beginning of the 2019 season of the Algarve triathlon. About 80 young people participated in this 1st stage of the Algarve Youth Circuit.
Ferreiras earned 1262 points, followed by Bike Clube de São Brás, with 769 points, and Portinado, with 691 points.
The young triathlon teams of Lusitano FC Frusoal, O2 Triathlon – S`look, Triathlon de Faro, Portimão Cycling Center, CCD / Intermarché Lagos and Repsol Triathlon.
According to the Triathlon Federation, «the sport in the Algarve is growing rapidly and the Algarve Regional Delegation, in partnership with local organizers, offer four different circuits for this season. The Algarve Youth Circuit and Adapted, for ages between 7 and 15, comprising 6 events; The Road Circuit, for athletes over 16 years old, consisting of 6 races and, finally, the Algarve Cross Circuit, which will have 5 races this season».
