The first edition of the Aguardente e Mel Fair is scheduled for March 9, at the renovated Polidesportivo da Cortelha, in the municipality of Loulé. This is "an initiative that aims to make known two treasures of the Serra do Caldeirão", explains the Association of Friends of Cortelha, which promotes the event.
The event, which has the support of the Municipality of Loulé and the Parish Council of Salir, “brings together the main local producers of medronho brandy and honey, two products with a high impact on the social fabric of the region and whose know-how goes beyond generation after generation, eternalizing flavors and traditions».
«In addition to the exhibition and tasting of these two treasures of the Serra do Caldeirão», the event also includes a walking tour, with visits to distilleries, an exhibition of handicrafts and other local products.
During the whole day there will be musical entertainment and it will be possible to taste the delicacies of the mountain gastronomy, in the tasquinha existing in the enclosure.
