The 42nd edition of the Crosse Internacional das Amendoeiras em Flor takes place on the 3rd of February, at Pista das Açoteias, in Albufeira, and will once again include the final of the European Champion Clubs' Cup in Corta-Mato.
«This European competition will bring together more than 500 athletes from 21 countries and a wide audience to enjoy one of the most important sporting competitions in the region, which has taken the name of Albufeira across borders», says the City Council.
In competition there will be 63 teams spread over 20 teams of senior men, 16 senior women, 16 junior men and 12 junior women.
The Portuguese representatives will be Benfica, with 10 female under-20 athletes, and Sporting with 30 athletes divided by female under-20 and male and female seniors.
The Crosse Internacional das Amendoeiras and the 56th Cup of the European Champion Clubs of Corta-Mato will be broadcast live on the Bola TV channel, between 11:15 am and 13:15 pm, when the senior male and female divisions are disputed. You can also watch it on live streaming here
But competitions do not stop there. After the Crosse and European Champion Clubs' Cup dispute, there will be the Regional Championship of Corta-Mato Curto and, after that, there will also be a regional competition with more than half a thousand participants from the Algarve alone. The 17th Cross-country at Areias de São João will start at 14 pm, with the groups of Benjamim, Infantil, Initiate and Youth.
Crosse also includes Adapted Sports, which takes place in the afternoon, at 15 pm, and School and Training Sports which, in total, bring together close to 00 participants representing 3000% of the Algarve's schools.
This year, the Corta-Mato Regional School Sport takes place on February 8, at 10:00 am, at the Pista de Crosse das Açoteias. In this competition will be selected students and schools, beginners and young people, of both sexes, who will represent the Regional Directorate of Education of the Algarve in Corta Mato Nacional.
