Portinado wins regional speed tournament

Louletano was in 2nd place

This Sunday, January 13, the Portinado swimming team won the regional speed trophy, played in Silves.

In total, the swimmers from Portimão collected 41 medals (17 gold, 15 silver and 9 bronze). Three new club records were also broken (Inês Alves, in the 50 meters backstroke and 100 meters styles and João Carrasco in the 50 meters breaststroke) and 175 new personal records.

Highlights of the Portinado team were Tiago Vila Nova, João Carrasco, Inês Alves, Mariana Mendes, Beatriz Almeida and Mariana Mendes.

As a negative note of this competition, Portinado highlights "the absence of the majority of participating clubs, in delivering the trophy to the winners".
