“Moda Vestra” will take her music to Olhão

The show brings together on stage the Algarve's João Frade, Sickonce and Ana Perfeito

The show Moda Vestra will arrive at the Auditório de Olhão, on January 25, at 21:30 pm. João Frade (accordionist), Sickonce (electronics) and Ana Perfeito (visual artist), all from the Algarve, meet again, this time in the Cubist city, and bring some friends with them.

The Fashion Vestra project was created from an artistic commission by Rede Azul – Algarve Theater Network and has been circulating throughout the region, with the support of “365Algarve”.

On stage will be a show that, «based on the traditional musical sounds of the region, intends to explore the ambiguity between the traditional, the past, the current and future visions of the Algarve, in an experimental perspective of contemporary reinterpretation», according to Câmara de Olhão .

«The tools to materialize this challenge will be the accordion, musical instruments, machines, samples, sound and visual environments – images of what these artists were and are. You want to be raw, strong, emotional, with room for interpretation and doubts», added the municipality.

The show has artistic direction and arrangements by João Frade and Sickonce and interpretations by João Frade (accordion), Sickonce (electronics), Ana Perfeito (visual art), João Guerreiro and Emanuel Marçal (accordion) and Paulo Machado (bass and keyboards) .
