Also with regard to the GNR, the Government's investment plan provides for the rehabilitation of the security force's Olhos de Água facilities (250 thousand euros), the construction of a new Territorial Post and the Coastal Control Sub-detachment of Aljezur (1,5 million), the rehabilitation of the Lagos Territorial Post (424 thousand euros), the renovation and expansion of the current GNR facilities in Monchique (no cost estimate) and a new post in Monte Gordo (700 thousand euros).

Regarding the PSP, there is a cash investment in the Police Division of Portimão (800 thousand euros) and in the police station in Vila Real de Santo António (400 thousand euros), as well as in the District Command of Faro, in the Algarve capital (330 thousand euros). All in all, it comes to 1,5 million euros (1.530.000).

In this case, only the first two are of top priority, with the rehabilitation of the District Command placed in a third level of urgency.

The question of the infrastructure of the security forces was just one of the many that was on the table, this Tuesday, at the meeting between the mayors and the Government.
