The course aimed to "provide trainees with technical-operational skills to integrate first intervention teams in rural fire extinguishing operations"

The Municipal Forest Sappers of São Brás de Alportel took a course on Rural Fire Extinguishing Operations, already thinking about the next fire season.

The 50-hour training, given by the Institute for Employment and Professional Training (IEFP), in partnership with the Institute for Nature Conservation and Forests (ICNF), aimed to «provide trainees with technical-operational skills to integrate teams of first intervention in rural fire extinguishing operations'.

«This training was another action of the rural fire prevention strategy, which deserves a strong commitment from the São Brasense municipality», according to the City Council of São Brás de Alportel.
