Tour ends with a ball and a small market with local products and handicrafts

Two walking tours that invite you to see the almond trees in bloom will take place at Cumeada da Alta Mora, in the municipality of Castro Marim, on February 3rd and 10th, both starting at 9:00 am, next to the headquarters of the Associação Recreativa, Cultural e Sports of the Friends of Alta Mora (ARCDAA), which organizes the initiative.

This year, «in order to be able to respond to the number of interested parties, which increases from year to year, the ARCDAA chose to carry out two tours», explains the Chamber of Castro Marim.

Registration costs 14 euros and includes breakfast, insurance and UPS (First Aid Unit), supplies along the way and lunch.

The tours will also have «lots of entertainment, at a dance with Duo Reflexo», and participants will also receive a souvenir.

In the afternoon there will be a small market, selling local products and handicrafts. Sweets, baskets, empreita, jams, sausages or cheeses are some of the products that will be on display for sale.

There are three types of routes, 5, 8 and 12 kilometers long. «The various paths are mostly along unpaved roads, which cross the valleys, hills, streams and almond fields of Cumeada da Alta Mora», adds the Chamber of Castro Marim, which supports the event.

“A healthy environment and a good mood is already a hallmark of this initiative”, concludes the municipality.
