Casa do Sal and Castro Marim Castle will reopen to the public this Saturday, after having closed at the beginning of the year, following the closure of the municipal company NovBaesuris. These spaces will have, «provisionally, free entrance», announced the Chamber.
The closing of these and other public facilities in Castro Marim, right after the closing of novBaesuris, which took place on December 31, motivated an exchange of accusations between the social-democratic municipal executive and the PS, whose councilor at the Chamber Célia Brito was the president of the municipal company.
If, on the one hand, the local authority accused the company's administration of not providing "the information and the necessary means to fulfill the public's intention to maintain certain services", Célia Brito assured that, if the services were closed, the fault was " all of the executive».
For now, two of the facilities in question have been opened, but the situations of Revelimd and Santo António and Casa de Odeleite, which closed at the same time, are still unresolved.
On the other hand, and «in order to honor the commitments assumed with the Algarve Tourism Region and in order to provide the best service to the community, the region and the tourist, the Castro Marim Tourist Information Office, supervised by this entity , is transferred, also temporarily, to Casa do Sal», according to the Chamber of Castro Marim.
