Bispo do Algarve started today a visit to the parishes of Raposeira, Sagres and Vila do Bispo

The bishop of the Algarve has already started this Sunday, the 20th, the second pastoral visit of the year 2018/2019 in the parishes of Raposeira, Sagres and Vila do Bispo. The visit lasts until the 27th.

D. Manuel Quintas began the pastoral visit with the Eucharist, at 9:00 am, in the Paróquia da Raposeira, then going to the communities of Sagres and Vila do Bispo, where he presided at the Mass at 10:30 and 12:00, respectively.

According to the diocesan newspaper Folha do Domingo, the visit is part of the municipal holiday, on 22 January, in Vila do Bispo, the day on which the solemnity of the deacon and martyr São Vicente, his patron and of the Diocese of Algarve, is celebrated.

Thus, next Tuesday, D. Manuel Quintas participates in the commemorations of the Municipality Day, from 9:00 am, at the City Hall, with the raising of the flag, followed by the solemn session of the Municipal Assembly.

Also on the 22nd, at 11:00 am, the bishop presides over the Eucharist in the church of Vila do Bispo, participates in the procession and at 15:30 pm will be present at the inauguration of the Monument to the Old Combatants.

Between 20 and 27 January, D. Manuel Quintas will visit the City Council and Parish Councils, the GNR post, the fire station, the Sagres Fortress, the Santa Casa da Misericórdia home and day centers and the fishing dock.

During the second pastoral visit of the year 2018/2019, to the parishes of Raposeira, Sagres and Vila do Bispo, the diocesan bishop will also meet with the Economic Council, the animation teams and the pastoral agents of the various parish services (readers, coral group, cleaning, among others).
