The Mértola Chamber starts another season of the “À Noite no Mercado” initiative, on January 14, at 19:30 pm, this time at the São Domingos Mine but, due to the cold, in a new space: the headquarters of the Associação de Hunters of the Chance.
«The theme will be the origin of the food, with the objective of making a shared menu and recovering recipes for some more traditional dishes that, in the meantime, have fallen into disuse», says the Chamber of Mértola.
This edition is part of the international meeting Food Network Academy, an association made up of organizations, companies and volunteers committed to developing sustainable food strategies on a local/regional basis, so guests from Spain, Switzerland, Germany and even Nepal will be present at this initiative. , with the right to the preparation of a dish with forgotten rice varieties by a Head Nepalese.
The initiative has the collaboration of the Guadiana Valley Hunters Association, Vidas com Garra Association and some volunteers from the Senior University.
The Coral Group from Mina de São Domingos will also be present with its Alentejo chant fashions.
