The City Council of Aljezur and Sociedade Polis Litoral will advance this year with works to refurbish Portinho da Arrifana and with the contract to create a footbridge for pedestrians to access Odeceixe beach.
The protocols with a view to establishing the bases for financial cooperation between the two entities were signed last December 19th.
According to the Municipality of Aljezur, the works in Portinho da Arrifana comprise «the execution of a series of works, including installation, maintenance and dismantling of the shipyard, repairs to the shelter jetty, reconstruction of the marginal retention and paving of the embankment, repair of the pavement of the southwest wharf, reconstruction and repair of the old ramp, construction of the stairs on the north wharf and maintenance of the bottom of the Porto basin».
The Chamber is going to finance the work with around 150 euros, to which 449 euros of community funding are added.
«This important work will bring better working and safety conditions to the fishing community of Portinho de Arrifana», says the municipality.
In the second work, the protocol aims to establish the bases for financial cooperation to carry out the contract for pedestrian accessibility to Odeceixe Sul beach.
«This project includes the creation of a footbridge for pedestrians and small urban developments, between the viewpoints of Praia de Odeceixe, thus improving pedestrian circulation and safety». The City Council of Aljezur will advance with 208 euros in this work.
