The Institute for Housing and Urban Rehabilitation (IHRU) and the Municipality of Monchique sign this Wednesday, December 12, at 10:00 am, at Paços do Concelho Monchiquense, the cooperation protocol between the municipality and the «Entry Door» program .
The Institutional Cooperation Protocol allows for the resolution of 52 situations of serious housing shortage, identified by the Municipality following the fire in August, which correspond to a total of 95 people deprived of minimum living conditions in their permanent home.
The granting of support to rehabilitation is also foreseen in 38 cases of houses damaged by the fire in Monchique and the granting of support to the lease, in 14 flagged cases.
In total, under the «Porta de Entrada» Programme, the IHRU grants financial support of 2 million and 300 thousand euros.
The ceremony is attended by the secretaries of State for Housing, Ana Pinho, and for Spatial Planning and Nature Conservation, Célia Ramos.
Secretary of State Célia Ramos will be present at the event, within the scope of the Landscape Program, valuing the natural capital of land use planning.
