Madalena Victorino and Giacomo Scalisi are the creators of the «Lavrar o Mar» project, which has been, for three years, with the support of the 365 Algarve program, changing the territory, through art, in Aljezur and Monchique.
O Sul Informação and Rádio Universitária do Algarve (RUA FM) interviewed the creators couple for almost an hour, as part of the «Impressões» program, to talk about the journey here and what could remain.
What they did “is not a program, it's a cultural, background project in the territory that remains and that can leave a great relationship between art and this territory,” explained Giacomo Scalisi.
In other words, added Madalena Victorino, it is «a project that is for the place and not for us, about us, me, Madalena, and Giacomo. We are the means, the tools that put the project in motion».
There were 58 minutes of good conversation, which also spoke about what «Lavrar o Mar» will bring us in 2019, with very high quality shows, involving the local community, in Monchique and Aljezur. And from the future. There was also talk of the future.
