Athletes from the Boxe Arte Tavira team won four medals in the international tournament “Odivelas Box Cup”, played on the 14th, 15th and 16th of December.
Ana Emídio won a gold medal, while Ryan Lima won a silver medal. Finally, Rafael Gonçalves and Amadu Embalo won bronze in their categories.
The athletes of the Algarve team were guided by Iria Santos, the coach who started this boxing school in Tavira, in 2017.
Now, the idea is to "evolve the project", already in 2019, "by obtaining an official boxing ring, with existing facilities in the county pre-approved with the Municipality to build a Boxing gym in a place to be announced soon and that will bring more conditions to train», says the Tavirense team.
