Three athletes from the Tall Martial Arts Club become national champions

Three athletes from the Tall Martial Arts Club became national champions in the Ju-Jitsu Championship. 

Denis Dinga, junior, was the winner in the Ne-Waza category (100 kilos) and Rui Estevão became the national champion of Ne-Waza (65 kilos) in seniors, having also been in 3rd place in Kumite.

Finally, João Claro, in seniors, reached the title of national champion of Kumite (77 kilos) and was in 3rd place in Ne-Waza.

The Altura Martial Arts Club has been in operation since 2007 and is directed by Mestre Reinaldo Aquilino.

The emblem «has taken the name of Castro Marim to national and international podiums, with results that reward the effort, commitment and commitment of the approximately 30 athletes who train there daily», says the City Council.

«The achievements are the recognition of a continuous work, with daily training, talent and a lot of discipline», reinforces Reinaldo Aquilino.

About a month ago, Rui Estevão took the name of Castro Marim to the first places of the European Championship, held in Rome, with a 4th place. «Almost all of our athletes have already won regional and national titles», stresses the coach about victories won from year to year.

For Castro Marim City Council “it is a priority to support the work, effort and dedication of clubs and associations in the municipality, which greatly contribute to the promotion of the territory, annually granting economic aid in the development of their activity programs”.
