Moroccan university delegation comes to the Algarve to sign agreements with UAlg

In addition to representatives from three Moroccan Higher Education institutions, the session will include the presence of the ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco in Portugal

A Moroccan university delegation will visit the University of Algarve (UAlg), on Friday, November 16, at 14:30 pm. This meeting, which will take place in the Seminar Room of the Rectory, on the Campus das Gambelas, in Faro, will make it possible to strengthen relations with Moroccan higher education institutions, namely with the Hassan I University (Settat), the Moahmmed V University (Rabat) and the Hassan II Agronomic and Veterinary Institute (Rabat).

In this session, which will be attended by Othmane Bahnin, ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco in Portugal, agreements will be signed «to promote the mobility of students and teachers between institutions, to organize joint initiatives in the area of ​​training and education. scientific research and to define lines of collaboration in the fields of technology-based entrepreneurship and knowledge transfer”, according to UAlg.

A book will also be released, jointly published by the University of Algarve and Editora Sul, Sol e Sal, entitled “Os Mestres da Água”. Authored by Mohammed El Faïz, a professor at the University of Marrakech, «the book presents in detail the history of Arab hydraulics, recognizing many characteristic aspects of the Algarve's traditional water systems».
