Algarve production company wins 11 awards at international tourism film festival

Five New Light Pictures films were awarded prizes

The Algarve audiovisual production company New Light Pictures won 11 awards at the 11th edition of the Art&Tur International Tourism Film festival 2018, which took place in Leiria between 23 and 27 October.

The producer won, in the international category, the 1st prize Tourist Routes, with the film walking trails, the 2nd prize Enotourism and the 2nd prize Gastronomy and Tourism, with the film From farm to table, and the 2nd Rural and Nature prize, with the film São Brás de Alportel.

In the national category, New Light Pictures won the Best Film of the Algarve awards (Faro city ​​of stars), the 1st Tourist Routes prize (walking trails), the 1st Gastronomic Tourism award (From farm to table), the 1st Destination Regions award (Wood Pass), the 2st Destination Regions award (From farm to table), the 2nd prize for Rural Tourism and Nature (São Brás de Alportel) and the 2nd prize Tourist Routes (Wood Pass).

According to New Light Pictures, «the recent merger between the two companies, Margem Films and New Light Pictures, is already starting to bear fruit and surprisingly, it was a total of 11 awards collected by the producer in what is one of the world's festivals. reference for tourism cinema'.

Pedro Matos, director of photography at New Light Pictures, emphasizes that «it is not the first time that we have been awarded at this Festival, but in this edition we were winners with all the films we had in the competition, which is a fantastic recognition of the work that we have been doing. to be carried out'.
