Hermitage of Guadalupe receives “Grafonola Voadora and Napoleão Mira”

The show is part of the DiVaM program – Dynamization and Valorization of Monuments

The interdisciplinary performance “Grafonola Voadora e Napoleão Mira” takes place next Saturday, November 3, at 17 pm, at the Chapel of Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe, in Raposeira, municipality of Vila do Bispo.

"Flying Grafonola" joins on stage the singer-songwriter Luís Galrito, who will explore the musicality of visual paintings, the visual artist João Espada, who will wander, in a poetic, symbolic and visual way, through the places, people and landscapes of the material and immaterial heritage, and the writer, poet and reciter Napoleão Mira that will be part of this performance with the declamation of original texts.

This show is part of «the need to create an experimental audiovisual content in which there is a permanent dialogue between image, music, word and the surrounding physical space», says the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve.

«The trio proposes to reconstruct an affective, symbolic, visual and musical geography of visual pictures referring to the Chapel of Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe. Traveling visually and musically through urban, rural and maritime spaces in search of natural and cultural environments linked to the material and immaterial heritage linked to this place», he adds.

“Grafonola Voadora e Napoleão Mira”, an original idea by João Espada, is a project by the Casa da Cultura de Loulé for DiVaM 2018 – Promotion and Enhancement of Monuments – cultural program organized by the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve.
