The MTB Orienteering World Cup final will take place in Odemira from tomorrow, the 20th of September, until Sunday. The competition will bring together around 150 top-level athletes from 15 countries, including "nine of the 10 best athletes in the world, in the men's class, and eight of the 10 best athletes in the world, in the women's class."
Tomorrow, the 20th of September, the day will be dedicated to training sessions in the village of Vale Bejinha. At 18 pm, the opening ceremony will take place, with a reception of delegations from various countries, at Jardim Sousa Prado, in Odemira.
On Friday, the first of the three competitions that make up the World Cup will take place, the Middle Distance, which will be held in the area surrounding the village of Vale Bejinha, in the Parish of São Luís.
On the 22nd, Saturday, there will be a Long Distance race, which will take place in the area that surrounds the village of São Luís. The last race, a Sprint, takes place on Sunday, in the village of Odemira.
