This Sunday, the Algarve's Jody Lot was crowned world champion in Underwater Fishing, at the XXXI World Championship, which took place this weekend in Sagres. one day after Teresa Duarte having won the women's title, in the World Cup, the augurse was stronger than the competition and repeated the title he had already won in 2012.

Despite the fact that, on the first day, Jody Lot finished in 5th position and as the worst Portuguese, this Sunday, the 37-year-old Algarvian managed a good journey and gave no chance to the competition, finishing in the highest place on the podium.

In second place, was also Portuguese André Domingues and, in third, the Spaniard Xavier Blanco.

For teams, the “double” on the podium allowed Portugal to finish the race as world runner-up.

The XXXI World Championship and the 68st Women's World Cup featured 16 male and 21 female athletes, representing XNUMX countries.
