Algarve 2020 has more than 8 million for Qualifica Centers in the Algarve

The competition has already opened and applications are open until the 18th of October

The entities promoting Qualifica Centers in the Algarve can apply until the 18th of October for support from the European Union, aimed at guaranteeing their functioning.

The CRESC Algarve 2020 Operational Program opened a tender with a total allocation of 8,25 million euros to support the functioning of the centers until 31 December 2020, "thus promoting greater stability in public support for their activity", according to the Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR) of the Algarve.

This sum is associated with «the minimum objective of training 21.430 people registered in the eleven Qualifica Centers in the Algarve».

«The objective of the Qualifica Centers is to contribute to the increase in qualification levels and to improve the employability of the adult population, providing them with more and better skills adjusted to the needs of the labor market and personal development», according to the Algarve's CCDR.

The same entity asainata that the beneficiaries of these funds «are the promoters of Qualifica Centers in the Algarve region, public and private, and the final recipients are adults aged 18 years or over seeking a qualification and, exceptionally, young people, between 15 and 17 years old, who are not attending forms of education or professional training and who are not included in the labor market».
