São Teotónio receives, on the 1st and 2nd of September, the Hunting & Fishing Fair of the Municipality of Odemira, in the Fairs and Exhibitions Park of that town.
This event is the result of a partnership between the Municipality of Odemira, the Parish Council of São Teotónio and the Hunters and Fishermen Associations of the municipality.
The event will count with the presence of stands of companies and associations in the sector, exhibition of pack dogs and trophies, hunting demonstrations with stopping dogs.
There will also be several competitions, such as the 2nd largemouth bass fishing meeting, taking place on the 1st, at the Santa Clara-a-Velha dam, the 2nd fishing competition on foot in the Mira river, on the 2nd, as well as the 6th competition of Portuguese Podengo breed dogs and the 5th Contest of Hunting Packs, among other activities.
The gastronomic component, children's entertainment and music complete the program, with emphasis on the performance of the ADIAFA group, on September 1st, at 21 pm.
The Greater Hunting & Sport Fishing Fair of the Municipality of Odemira aims to «promote an activity with great dynamism in the municipality of Odemira, which has extraordinary conditions for the practice of these activities and is already a favorite destination for many fans of hunting and fishing », stresses the local Chamber.
