Citizen Mobile Spaces are already supporting populations affected by the Monchique fire

Mobile Units provide services from various public bodies and meet the population in affected parishes

Two vehicles from Espaço Móvel Cidadão started to circulate yesterday, in the municipalities of Monchique, Odemira, Portimão and Silves, to «provide people who have more difficulty in getting around, a set of door-to-door services in various areas of the city. Public administration".

Six parishes will be visited, in a total of 61 localities, in an action that extends until the 23rd of August, «time in which there will be a reassessment of needs and adjustment of itineraries, if necessary», stresses the Social Security Institute.

The mobile units are properly signposted, and the service is provided by several technicians from the Public Administration, seeking to identify and support situations triggered by the effects of the fire.

All this work is being done “in close liaison with the Municipal Councils”.

Thus, in the municipality of Monchique, mobile units are present on the 16th and 20th, in Alferce, and on the 17,21,22th, 23st, XNUMXnd and XNUMXrd, in Monchique.

The municipality of Silves is covered by mobile units on the 16th and 17th, Portimão, on the 20th, and Odemira, on the 21st.

The teams present in the field are "properly identified", adds the ISS.

Social Security Institute – Social support and follow-up, in order to be able to deal with eventual subsidies, social benefits, signs for medical and psychological support and referral to the respective health services.

Institute of Employment and Training – Survey of unemployment situations and companies affected following the fire, in conjunction with the Social Security services.

Institute of Registries and Notaries – Request for a Citizen's Card and Request for a 2nd copy of a Single Automobile Document.
