Castro Marim returned to medieval times with a historic parade

The parade marked the beginning of another edition of the Medieval Days, which last until Sunday

Thousands of people headed this Wednesday, August 22nd, to the Medieval Days of Castro Marim, to live a unique experience, worthy of kings and princesses.

In addition to the usual market in the streets of Castro Marim and its castle, visitors had the opportunity to see the historic parade up close, which featured all social classes of that time, represented and dressed to the nines.

This year's edition of the Medieval Days of Castro Marim runs until next Sunday, the 26th of August.

The Medieval Days in Castro Marim open at 18 pm and close at midnight. During the event, the Municipal Support Office (GAM) works as a support and information post.

Tickets are on sale at BOL online box office (and several associated sales points), at the Municipal Support Office (GAM), at the Local Market of Castro Marim, at Casa do Sal, at the Heritage Kiosks located on the municipality's beaches – Alagoa/Altura, Praia Verde and Cabeço, at the Tavira Gran Plaza Shopping Center and, during the event, at the various ticket offices around the town.

Residents of the municipality of Castro Marim have free access to the entire event, having only to pick up their bracelets at the Municipal Support Office (GAM), Parish Councils and through the Castro Marim Consigo service.

Admission for children is free, at the Castle, up to 5 years old, and at the Medieval Fair, up to 12 years old. the extras properly dressed also do not pay entrance.
