The tradition of the Bath of 29 is fulfilled again in Praia da Luz in Lagos on the 29th of August. A night dive in the sea, an antique bathing suit and a concert by the band Anjos, at Cais da Solaria, are the main attractions of the event.
This is a «popular manifestation already rooted in the Lacobrigense culture, being one of the main events of the municipality», illustrated the Câmara de Lagos. So, more than a trip to the moonlight baths, this event is an authentic party, with musical and beach entertainment, food and drinks, sweets and handicrafts.
The party starts at 11:00 am, with a historical recreation of the Bath of 29, at Cais da Solaria, by the Centro de Estudos de Lagos.
In the same place, between 15:00 pm and 19:00 pm, there are traditional games and musical entertainment, in charge of Utopia radio.
This is followed, at 20 pm, with the symbolic action against oil prospecting in Costa Vicentina “Court for Love of the Sea and the Land: for a clean and sustainable culture in Portugal”.
At 21 pm, the traditional swimsuit competition takes place, followed by a concert by Anjos at 00:22 pm.
Meanwhile, the party will begin in Praia da Luz, with food and music, which will be guaranteed by Humberto Silva and DJ Toby One.
