Startup Portimão celebrates 1st anniversary of open doors

One year after opening its doors, Startup Portimão hosts sixteen entrepreneurial projects and registers 78% occupancy

Startup Portimão, located at the International Autodrome, celebrates its 1st anniversary on 10 August, with an open day, starting at 15 pm.

All those interested will be able to be in contact with entrepreneurs who, at Startup, «accelerate their ideas and plan their future».

There will also be a talk of balance of activity with the main promoters of the incubator in the municipality, with the presence of Miguel Ferreira, one of the sharks of the “Shark Tank” program and chairman of the “Fonte Viva” group».

One year after opening its doors, Startup Portimão has 78% occupancy and has sixteen projects, eleven of physical incubation and five of virtual incubation, in different areas, namely, computer programming, software development, computer applications, street food, management consulting, digital marketing systems, renewable energy and exchange platforms.

The Portimão Municipality incubator is part of the National Network of Incubators and is accredited by StartUp Portugal (a strategy of the Government of the Republic for Entrepreneurship, which aims to boost entrepreneurial capacity and foster conditions for the acceleration and success of new companies).

In order to take stock of this 1st year of activity, at 16 pm, Paulo Pinheiro, CEO of Parkalgar SA, Luís Matos Martins, from Creative Territories, and Isilda Gomes, president of the Portimão Chamber, will be chatting with Miguel Ferreira .

At 17 pm, it will be time to sing happy birthday and cut the cake.
