The Algarve Stadium will be the stage for the friendly game Portugal – Croatia, on 6 September, according to Sul Informação.

The Portuguese Football Federation has not yet announced the stage for this match, but the Sul Informação confirmed with an official source that the game will be played at Estádio Algarve.

After the elimination of the World Cup, in the round of XNUMX, against Uruguay, the national team has its first game, after the defeat, against Croatia. The last match that Portugal competed at the Estádio Algarve against Latvia, in October 2016, to qualify for the 2018 World Cup.

The friendly match with the Croatian team, which is still playing in the World Cup and has stars like Modric and Mandzukic, serves as preparation for the League of Nations, the new UEFA competition. Portugal is in group 3 of Liga A and will face Italy, on 10 September, at Estádio de Alvalade, in the first match of that competition.

In addition to this preparatory game against Croatia, Portugal will also play a friendly against Scotland on 14 October at Hampden Park (Glasgow).
