Rua do Cais, in downtown Tavira, will host, from the 13th of July to the 9th of September, fairs of books, crafts, antiques, stocks and the emblematic Mediterranean Diet Fair.
From the 13th to the 15th of July, between 18:00 and 24:00, it is possible to visit “Tavira, Os Dias do Vinho” which has the presence of around 40 wine producers.
This is an event organized by the group Cegos por Provas in partnership with the Algarve Wine Route and the collaboration of the Municipality of Tavira.
From the 19th of July to the 5th of August, between 19:00 and 24:00, more than 24 Portuguese publishers are represented at the 50th Book Fair, in a total of 42 pavilions.
As for the Trade Fair, it takes place from 7 to 15 August, between 19 pm and midnight, organized by the Tavira Arts and Flavors Association (ASTA), which has the support of the Tavira Chamber.
«This event is an opportunity to appreciate the region's diverse handicrafts, as well as the traditional crafts and live work that are part of the Algarve's cultural heritage», says the municipality.
The Antiques and Antiques Fair takes place between August 17th and 27th, from 20 pm to midnight, and has the presence of several antique dealers. This show aims to present and sell pieces for collectors or simple people interested.
The Tavira Stocks Fair runs from 30th August to 2nd September, from 19:00 to 23:30. This initiative, co-financed by the Algarve Regional Operational Program – CRESC Algarve 2020, is promoted by the Baixa de Tavira Association with the participation of local traders. Visitors will thus have the opportunity to purchase products from stocks of the most diverse brands, at affordable prices.
Tavira, as a representative community of the Mediterranean Diet as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, promotes, from 6th to 9th September, in the city's downtown, the VI Fair of the Mediterranean Diet.
This is a joint initiative of the Municipality of Tavira, the Coordination and Regional Development Commission of the Algarve, the University of the Algarve, the Regional Directorate of Agriculture and Fisheries of the Algarve, the Regional Directorate of Culture, the Algarve Tourism Region, the School of Hotel and Tourism of Vila Real de Santo António and Algarve, municipal company TaviraVerde and Associação In Loco.
