Tavira distinguishes "good service and dedication" from the employees in Day of the City

Tavira celebrated, this Sunday, June 24th, another City Day, in which he awarded medals «of good service and dedication to employees with 20 and 30 years of service». 

The commemorations also included the raising of flags, at the Town Hall, followed by the solemn session, at the Álvaro de Campos Municipal Library.

The ceremony included the distinction of three employees with medals for good service and silver degree dedication (30 years of service) and nine employees with medals for good service and copper degree dedication (20 years of service).
He was awarded the Jean Pierre Patrick Rancher gold grade municipal merit medal.

Maria Teodósia Candeias Carvalho, Rui Manuel Palmilha Amaro, Agricultural Cooperative of Olive Oil Producers of Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo and Montepio Artístico Tavirense – Mutual Aid Association were recognized with a silver grade municipal merit medal.

He was also honored with a municipal medal of merit degree covering the Tavira Basketball Club.
The celebrations for this day ended, in Praça da República, with a concert by the Resistencia.

144 years ago, as Sul Informação remembered, Tavira was also celebrating, with the visit of Fontes Pereira de Melo to that location.
